From Seoul to Sydney: Why We Started Pick no.3 Australia

Pick no.3 didn't start in Australia. It started in Korea, in our own stores, where we help shoppers sort through hundreds of K-beauty launches to find the few products that suit their skin.

Now we're bringing the same idea to Australia. Here's why.

Four stores in Korea

Pick no.3 has four stores in Korea:

• Seongsu, Seoul
• Bukchon, Seoul
• Hannam, Seoul
• Jeju, Jeju Island

The shelves are arranged by skin concern, not by brand, so you can find what your skin needs in a few minutes. Our team talks about your skin first and products second. That's where our name comes from: Talk Beauty, Pick Three.

Where the idea came from

Pick no.3 was created by Kang-Il Kim, the creator of Beauty of Joseon. After years in K-beauty, he kept seeing the same thing: shelves full of products, claims that were hard to follow, and shoppers left guessing.

He took his cue from the Korean hanok, a traditional house built from wood, paper and light, with nothing it doesn't need. His question was simple: could shopping for skincare feel the same way, calm and focused on what your skin needs?

What "Pick no.3" means

A hanok stands on three things: pillars, beams and roof. Pick no.3 stands on three promises:

1. Shop by skin goal. We group skincare by what your skin needs: Hydration, Calming, Skin Barrier, Glow, Brightening, Lift and Firm, and Pore Refining.
2. Top 3, not top 300. For each concern we narrow it down to three options, chosen for their ingredients and formulas. No paid placements.
3. A third place. Somewhere calm to slow down, understand your skin and build a routine that suits it.

Why Australia

Australians already love K-beauty, but finding the right product often means guessing. The climate doesn't help either: strong UV, dry heat and quick weather changes.
